Summer: let's not forget about Waterford

Saludos, familia LCT. Hace tiempo que no visitamos a los chicos de Waterford en Irlanda. Han hecho tantas actividades que no nos van a caber en el blog :-O Vamos a intentarlo de todas formas.

GREENWAY CYCLE

The perfect way to start the day is with pancakes, strawberry syrup and chocolate. Yummy. Classes have been really lively today thanks to the company of Italian and Irish classmates who open up our eyes to other ways of living and having fun.

Lunch includes Irish Black Pudding which is a kind of dark morcilla and Irish sausages. Afterwards, we head to the WIT Arena, a university sports centre that's surprisingly big and functional.

A great range of sports can be done in the seven fields available. First, we go on a biking route known as Greenway. It used to be a railway which has been turned into a remarkable cycling route along the Southeast coast of Ireland.

The recreation centre Activate is perfect to decompress by taking part in sports competitions such as Laser tag combat, bowling championships and rollerblading.

HOOK HEAD

Breakfast, classes and a two-hour drive before we can enjoy the dramatic scenery at Hook Head. From the headland it is even possible to get glimpses of dolphins and whales on the horizon. The splendid weather helps with our day at Duncannon beach with is fine sand where we can have a nice walk despite the freezing water. Nothing that can deter us from playing games organized by the Irish instructors.

WATERFORD CRYSTAL

A divine breakfast of waffles with chocolate give us the strength to face the classes and then head off to embark on a picture hunt. This 20-item challenge allow us to get to know the city better and have a lot of quirky fun before a visit to the Waterford Crystal, a manufacturer of crystal that produces a luxurious range of contemporary and traditional stemware, china, vases, wedding gifts and more. The tour is led by local guides and the artisans make the products in front of our eyes.
At the end of the day, the Irish instructors organize a costume competition using recycling materials. That is fun and creative!

Volvemos en seguida con más fotos para no saturar la entrada :-)
