Summer: from London to Brighton

Saludos, familia LCT. Desde Londres, vamos a visitar una ciudad costera llena de hermosos rincones. Brighton, allá vamos.

BRIGHTON

Our first one-day trip takes us to seaside Brighton. It has a huge shopping centre, an entertaining aquarium and a rocky beach where we have lunch and fight off some cocky seagulls. At the end of the day, a relaxing card game is waiting for us at the pub.

OXFORD STREET

What shall we do with our spare time? Easy. Go shopping! The best site will be Oxford Street and Bond Street, followed by an afternoon along the riverside to visit Big Ben at the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye. After supper, we had a good time playing billiards and cards.

IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM & ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL

Today we are visiting the Imperial War Museum with five floors devoted to World Wars I and II. Lunch time is shared with other team of students at the Liverpool Station. Afterwards, we climb 520 steps up the stairs of St. Paul's Cathedral. Do you think we will suffer from cramps tomorrow? We unwind at the end of the day by playing billiards at the pub.

GREENWICH
Morning classes give way to lunch at the park of Greenwich University and an afternoon of exploring the most hidden nooks such as the vintage market and the underground bridge below the river Thames.

In the afternoon, we enjoyed the sunny weather in the green area around the Observatory. Later at the pub, we planned for our day off.

Next day: Cambridge!

Summer: revisiting Portsmouth

Saludos, familia LCT. Mientras nos asamos de calor en España, nuestros alumnos se lo pasan pipa en climas más atemperados. Vamos a hacer una visita a Portsmouth.

BUTTERFLIES, SPORTS AND BRIGHTON

The Natural History Museum houses beautiful butterflies that sport a sweet tooth. Later on, everyone takes part in various sports until late in the evening. On our last weekend, we take the train to Brighton to enjoy the pier and good ol' fish and chips.

THAT'S LONDON FOR YOU

A trip to London is always successful. Can you spot the Tower Bridge or St. Paul's Cathedral?

What's you favourite pic?

Summer: the treasures of London

Saludos, familia LCT. No nos podemos olvidar de nuestra querida Londres, esa vibrante ciudad llena de tesoros. Tenemos mucho que compartir, así que adelante.

BRITISH MUSEUM, PICADILLY CIRCUS

Ancient and modern blend in really well in this photos taken at the British Museum. On a different day after classes, we go shopping in Oxford Street and take the famous pics around Picadilly Circus. Despite the rain, we find comfort in hot chocolate and manage to enjoy every minute of it.

CAMDEN TOWN

It's better to start the day with classes and then move on to more exciting things to do. Such as strolling through Camden Town with all its variety of folklore, fashion and curiosities near Regent's park with its formal gardens.

TOWER BRIDGE AND THE RIVER THAMES

I'ts a busy day as we get to visit the modern art Tate Modern and the Tower Bridge, followed by a cruise on the river Thames. in the afternoon.

HYDE PARK

Today we start with a leisurely stroll through Hyde Park with its gardens and lakes and nooks to discover. After a short stop at the Hard Rock Café for a souvenir, we go back to Greenwich for lunch and classes. Some rest is necessary before we head out again to share a refreshment and games.

Next time we tag along the London-Greenwich group, we will be travelling to Brighton :-D Don't miss it!
