Dear readers,
2017 has been thrust upon us. No shield against it, no running from it. It's a new year whether we want it or not.
The good thing about new beginnings is that they bring a sense of renewal with them. We feel invigorated. Infused with new-born energy, we might find within ourselves that impusle to pursue goals that we never thought possible.
On that note, I would like to talk about plans, projects, goals and resolutions.
What do you want to do this year?
Do you want to do the same things as last year? That's fine. Would you like to expand on them, enhance them? That's good, too.
Perhaps you'd like to try new things or travel more or even make that dream you've harboured for years true once and for all. Share your thoughts on the comments.
In the meantime, this is my (improbable and humble) list of resolutions for 2017:
- stress less
- drink tea in a fancy cup
- take my hobbies more lightly
- make new recipes
- save time to relax
- read only the best books
- focus on what I have instead of what I would like to have
- enjoy the moment
Keeping those resolutions in the long term will be the real challenge, of course. I've come to believe that putting them to paper (or screen) and sharing them on social networks can mean a huge step in encouraging myself. Blog, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, are the usual suspects. Do you do this as well?
Revising one's goals every month is also a good strategy to keep them fresh and make the necessary adjustments.
Next month, we'll be checking how well we are doing on our New Year's Resolutions. Leave your comments about this topic, don't be shy!
Be creative. Be you.
