Yes, it’s possible to get more out of an exchange programme than we anticipated.
GUEST #5
LYBIA EXCHANGE DISASTER
by Alberto Barrado Viciente
My friend Julian went to Lybia last summer in an Exchange course.
Before the trip he thought that it would be a good experience and he would make a lot of friends. But, when he met the family who he had to live with, he realized that things would be very different. He had to live with a Taliban family!
He only stayed in Lybia for two weeks but it was a real adventure. The worst part was that he lost his leg because a bomb exploded near him. He told me that it was the worst experience in his life.
In my opinion languages exchange can be dangerous if you don´t go to the right area.
Indeed! That was a terrible thing to happen. What would you do if something like that happened to you or a friend of yours?
And tomorrow is the last installment of this incredible account of experiences. Want to guess who’s left?
Be adventurous. Be inquisitive.
